Dear patient, I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome you as a new patient of Wherlands Lane Medical Centre.

A little about me my name is Dr Deirdre Burns, and I have been appointed to take over the care of patients previously with Dr. Komorowska. I have been working as a GP in the Ballyvolane and Blackpool areas for over 25 years.

My areas of special interest are Women's Health and Children's Health, as well as providing full general practice services.

Here at Wherlands, I work alongside a team of experienced doctors and nurses. Dr. Ronan Boland, Dr. Sarah O'Shaughnessy, Nurse Niamh & Nurse Sinéad all have an extensive amount of clinical experience and we all look forward to welcoming you here at Wherlands Lane, Medical Centre, Cork.

Please note below some quick points to be aware of for an easy and smooth transition.

Prescriptions

The HSE will arrange the transfer of your electronic files to us.

Please give us a call on 0214399199 to renew your regular prescriptions. We kindly ask that you call up to 2 weeks before your prescription is due for renewal. This will help avoid any delays in your medications getting to you on time

We run weekly flu/COVID clinics twice a week at the practice, if you would like to book in, please call us on 0214399199 or we have walk-in clinics on a

• Monday between 11 am & 1 pm or
• Thursday between 2.15 pm & 4.30 pm
