Limerick’s own Dr Orlaith O’Reilly has specialised training in bariatric medicine – or
medical weight management. She was co-author of the Association for the Study of Obesity
Ireland (ASOI) primary care guideline for treatment of adults.

Orlaith also has an interest in women’s health and provides intrauterine coil insertions.

Orlaith was an undergraduate in medicine at UCC from 2010 to 2015, where she attained her
MbBChBao. In addition, she holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG,
2019), took part in the GP training scheme (MICGP) between 2017 and 2020, and was
awarded a Masters in Obesity in 2021.
