Dr Maurice Cox holds a BA in Medicine from Trinity College Dublin and an M Phil in skeletal biology from Cambridge University, UK.  He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and trained and practised as an orthopaedic Surgeon for ten years until he was headhunted to McKinsey Management Consultants in 1998.

Maurice worked primarily in McKinsey’s Global Healthcare division for 5 years, establishing and developing business in biotechnology, hospital and MNC pharma sectors in the UK, USA, Saudi Arabia, Ireland, the UK and Croatia. In 2003, he founded Centric Health with Dr Ray Power.

Maurice is heavily involved in the international sight-saving charity ORBIS Irish Office which he founded in 2004 and chaired for 18 years.  Orbis Ireland works to eradicate Trachoma and other avoidable blindness in a population of over 2 million in the Gama Gofa region of Ethiopia.

Aodha joined the Board in 2017 having joined Centric Health in 2016 as CFO. Prior to joining Centric Health, Aodha was CFO in TV3 Television Networks Ltd having held senior finance roles in eircom Ltd and Meteor Mobile Communications Ltd.

Aodha has extensive experience of working at a senior level in organisations and working closely with key stakeholders including banks and shareholders.  Aodha has been involved in a number of significant corporate transactions during his career including disposals and acquisitions of companies and fund raising of both debt and equity.  Aodha trained in PricewaterhouseCoopers and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

He attended University College Dublin (UCD) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours) and Masters in Accounting (Honours) both from UCD. Aodha also completed a Strategic Leadership course in Stanford University.

SIr Ian Carruthers commenced his career in the National Health Service (NHS) at Garlands Hospital, Carlisle in 1969, progressing to a succession of NHS leadership posts including Transitional Director of the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement. In March 2006, Sir Ian took over as Interim Chief Executive of the NHS managing its 1.3 million employees and £100 billion budget.  Ian Carruthers received a Knighthood in the 2003 for services to the NHS and is regarded as an international expert on healthcare systems and service delivery.

Sir Ian is Chancellor of the University of the West of England, Chair of the Healthcare UK Governance Board; Co-Chair of the Prime Minister’s Challenge on Dementia; Chair of 2020 Delivery Board; Chair of NHS Supply Chain Customer Board and advisor to the NHS and private sector organisations.

Dr Aleksandra (“Ola”) Spencer is a healthcare transformation leader whose career spans Paediatric Oncology, digital innovation and global operations. With more than two decades of experience across healthcare, life sciences and technology, she brings a rare blend of scientific rigour, strategic vision and deep human insight to every role she holds. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in a clear belief: patients deserve the same transparency, responsiveness and personalisation they expect as consumers. This perspective was shaped early in her career at IBM, where she guided major health organisations through consumer - centred digital transformation, and continues to inform her work at Optegra Eye Health Care as Global Chief Operating Officer - leading international expansion, operational excellence programmes and AI‑enabled patient engagement initiatives.

Joining the Board of Centric Health, Dr Spencer brings a commitment to building data‑empowered, human‑led primary care systems that elevate both clinical outcomes and patient experience. Her approach marries technology with compassion, ensuring innovation strengthens - rather than replaces - the human connection at the heart of care. Known for her ability to redesign systems at speed, including virtual pathways and hybrid models introduced during COVID-19, she is recognised as a leading voice in the future of patient-centred healthcare. Dr Spencer’s appointment reflects Centric Health’s ambition to create a more accessible, empathetic and forward‑thinking health system for the communities it serves.

Tim qualified in medicine in 1985 in the UK and moved to Western Australia in 1991, where he founded and managed Gemini Medical. Under Tim's leadership Gemini became one of the Australia's largest providers of occupational health services to the resource and mining industry prior to its sale to Sonic Health in 2008. 

Tim has established over 40 general practices across Australia.  In 2013 he co-founded Apollo Health, a company that has successfully developed a number of large multidisciplinary primary care centres in greenfield sites around Perth.

Tim was instrumental in bringing Urgent Care clinics into Australia, a development that saw Apollo Health being acquired by St John Ambulance in 2016.  A non executive Director and Shareholder since 2010, Tim brings extensive experience of the medical centre business to Board of Centric Health. 

Mike is an acknowledged business leader, with a proven track record optimising organisational performance and profitability. He has extensive experience in the transformation of distressed and underperforming businesses into high-achieving organisations across multiple industries, notably IT, Telecom and Fintech sectors. A highly disciplined and collegiate Leader, his success is rooted in the commitment, loyalty and resultant extraordinary performance his management style engenders.  Most recently, he has been instrumental in the turnaround of Payzone, returning 3x its €52 million institutional investment over 6 years. His interests include all things outdoor, active and sports related-and Cheltenham!
