A Message from the Partner GPs at Ath Trasna Medical

For more than three decades, Áth Trasna Medical Centre has been proud to care for the people of Newmarket and the wider Duhallow community. Our dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and administrative staff remains committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient we serve.

Like many rural practices across Ireland, we have been planning for the future to ensure long-term sustainability, continuity of care, and ongoing access to local GP services. General practice is becoming increasingly complex, and securing the next generation of GPs is one of the greatest challenges facing communities like ours.

To safeguard the future of the practice and enhance the support available to our team, we are pleased to share that Áth Trasna Medical Centre has partnered with Centric Health. Centric is a well-established Irish primary care organisation that supports more than seventy-five GP practices nationwide. Through this partnership, we will benefit from additional administrative, HR, and IT support, allowing our clinicians to focus more fully on patient care.

What this means for you
Your care will continue exactly as before. The same doctors, nurses, and administrative staff will remain in place, and our commitment to high-quality, personal care remains unchanged. This partnership simply strengthens our ability to deliver the services our community depends on, now and into the future.

As Managing GP Partners, Dr. Bertie Daly and Dr. Zelie Gaffney Daly will continue to lead the practice. Together with Centric Health, we will focus on modernising systems, improving access, and ensuring the practice continues to grow and evolve to meet local needs.

We are confident that this partnership lays the foundation for a strong and sustainable future for general practice in Newmarket, and we thank you for your ongoing trust and support.
