Important Notice - Closure of Tyrrelstown Medical Centre

It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you that Tyrrelstown Medical will be closing its doors on 12th February 2024. This decision has not been made lightly, and we are truly grateful for the trust and loyalty you have placed in us over the years.

We want to assure you that every effort will be made to ensure a smooth transition in your healthcare services.

For Public Patients: The Health Service Executive (HSE) will be reaching out to you directly to facilitate the transfer of your medical records to a new GP in the area. Please be on the lookout for communication from the HSE regarding this matter.

For Private Patients: To assist you in finding a new healthcare provider, we have compiled a list of local GPs in the area. You can find this list attached to this letter/ A list will be provided in the practice. We recommend that you review the options available and contact a new GP at your earliest convenience to ensure uninterrupted healthcare.

Additionally, we kindly request that you complete the attached patient information form and return it to us via email at info@tyrrelstownmedical.ie or through the practice address before 12 February. This will help us in the smooth transfer of your medical records to the appropriate healthcare provider.

If you do not contact us before this date or have a new GP we will retain your medical file in an inactive status. After this date we would ask that you contact us at info@tyrrelstownmedical.ie so that we can transfer your medical file and ensure continuity of medical care.

We understand that changes like this can be unsettling, and we want to express our deepest gratitude for allowing us to be a part of your healthcare journey. It has been a privilege to serve you, and we hope that you continue to receive the quality care you deserve in your new medical home.
