Podiatry & Chiropody at Celbridge Medical

Verruca being removed from a womans heel

Podiatry and chiropody are different, yet complementary, methods of caring for your feet,
whether routine or for specialised conditions like heel pain.

What is podiatry?
Podiatry is the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of conditions of the foot and its related structures. Chiropody centres around the more routine areas of podiatry, including nail care, corns and callus.  We provide care for feet of all ages, from childhood to retirement, as well as sports enthusiasts, athletes, and those who have a specific medical problem, such as poor circulation, diabetes or arthritis.

We specialise in the treatment of:
-   heel pain
-   plantar fasciitis
-   shin splints
-   knee pain
-   arthritis
-   Morton’s neuromas
-   flat feet
-   over-pronation
-   bunions
-   Achilles injuries.

Keep your feet healthy
You can maintain healthy feet by following a few simple rules:
-   wash your feet every day and dry them thoroughly;
-   wear only good quality, well-fitting cotton socks;
-   always use the correct shoe for every sport and every surface.
